In 1973 Frank Campanella was a bright, young faculty member (Assistant Professor) in the Finance Department in the Carroll School of Management, but he was also active in volunteer work on campus planning committees. The President, Fr. Monan, was
so impressed with Frank's contributions to the community and professional skills that he invited Frank to assume the position of Executive Vice -President. So within a year Frank had gone from the role of a junior faculty member to second command with prime responsibility for the management of an institution that had multiple fiscal, operational and physical problems.
