Finding a Career

For over 50 years (1963 to present) I have worked in the Information Technology (IT) business; 40 of those years were happily spent at Boston College. Fortunately as I was entering the job market in 1963 following college and military service, the information Technology profession was in its infancy, and the nature of the work turned out to be a perfect match for my aptitude and interests. Once I found my initial job as a computer programmer, I knew I was on the right career path. Writing this piece has provided me with the chance to step back and reflect on my career events, especially the decisions points and the pathway that I selected.
